Thank you for your interest in the SaharaFest. The purpose of this festival is to support the construction of the Mariam Outreach Center and bring the Detroit Metropolitan community along for a weekend of fun, food, music and fellowship. The Mariam Center for Family & Youth Enrichment is a nonprofit outreach center described here.

SaharaFest takes place on Merriman road, between 6 and 7 mile, and will feature both Middle Eastern and American entertainment. It will also feature a variety of thrilling carnival rides, a video game tent for kids, live music, face painting and of course food booths presenting the best of multicultural cuisine. It is a great time for the entire family.

SaharaFest is a free cultural celebration that ties our neighboring cities together by offering an experience that is like no other in the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
